Our trending star of the week is Nigerian rapper, actor and comedian Folarin Falana aka FalzTheBahdGuy.
The 27-year old owner of Bahd Guys Records has been all over the news lately after he expressed his displeasure about Nigerian musicians who glorify cybercrime with their music.
In a video interview with Hip TV, which went viral, Falz called out Nigerian musicians who are fond of such acts, having a lot of his fans agreeing with him.
However, some other social media users think Falz was indirectly calling out Afro-pop singer 9ice with his track titled “Living Things”, even though Falz did not mention names.
Falz, the son of renowned lawyer Femi Falana, who also has a degree in Law, rose into the limelight after the release of his track titled “Marry Me” where he featured Yemi Alade and Poe.
Falz is the proud winner of Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act at the 2016 BET Awards.
He also won the Best Actor in a Comedy Movie/Series for his role in Jenifa’s Diary at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards 2016.
