Ozil to sign new Arsenal deal
According to British media reports, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is close to signing a new contract with the Gunners,
The German international’s current deal runs out at the end of the 2017/18 season, getting the German to extend his contract with the club.
According to reports, the terms for the 28-year-old’s proposed new deal are around £280,000 ($363,000, 313,000 euros) a week, which would make him the club’s top earner, although it’s believed that Ozil was originally holding out for a fee close to £350,000.
Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have both been linked with moves away from Arsenal, with Chilean attracting interest from some of Elite clubs.
Ozil has been a key player for the Gunners since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2013 and Arsenal will be looking to keep things that way for next Season’s campaign.
