Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddha-Naprabha has confirmed the clubs interest in signing Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho.
A £25m deal has already been agreed for the Nigerian striker by Manchester City, however, issues concerning his image rights have allegedly stood in City’s way since.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola also confirmed that Iheanacho was set to move at a recent press conference, but he didn’t reveal the destination of the young Nigerian.
Srivaddha-Naprabha was quoted by Foxes of Leicester as saying on Sunday “Yes, we have interest in him”
“But we have to wait for Manchester City’s stance on this, as they are still in their pre-season as well. If it happens, it will be soon.
“Leicester City’s transfer market is not over yet. We just signed three players and there will be at least one more.”
The vice-chairman of the club also spoke about the club’s ambitions for the 2017/18 season and sounded rather optimistic saying they aim for a top 10 finish.
