“Reggae Blues” singer, Harrysong, who was recently accused of stealing photos of twin babies and claiming the twins as his newly born babies on his Instagram page, has reacted to the theft allegations, referring to it as a huge and regrettable mistake.
After the news of Harrysong welcoming a set of twins named Perez and Tarela with his Abuja-based businesswoman baby mama surfaced days ago, the Alter Plate record label boss confirmed the news by putting up the allegedly stolen pictures of twins on an Instagram page created for his newly born twins, with the caption, “Welcome Tarela and Peres, youngest, freshest and most adorable altersoldiers #itsnotalie @perezandtarela”
However, the photo of the twin babies was soon identified as the picture on one of the pages of an American website dedicated to nursing schools.
Speaking with Premium Times, Harrysong, who had admitted that he hadn’t been able to go and see the twins who were born in the US, came out clean, apologising.
Harrysong said, “To set the record straight, the Instagram account, perezandtarela was set up by my baby mama who is very reserved and media shy, despite being a successful business woman. She created the account with the sole aim of cataloguing the growth and development of her lovely twins. However, the account which was meant to run privately and operated by one of her younger siblings who mistakenly posted internet photographs was blown open by me. I was obviously overjoyed and reposted the first photos on my way from Port Harcourt. With every sense of humility, it was a huge and regrettable mistake.”
The former Five Star Records’ act has since deleted the nursing school website’s photo from his children’s Instagram account.
