Four-storey building collapses in Lagos
A four – storey building at No Massey Street, Lagos Island collapsed on Tuesday afternoon by 3pm.
Rescue operators are battling to rescue the trapped victims from a building that among which are children.
We gathered that the affected building owned by Kafo’s family, was initially a three storey building before an additional one storey was added.
According to the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr Adesina Tiamiyu 11 victims had been rescued at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Some of the trapped victims reportedly made phone calls from under the rubble.
We have no knowledge as to what caused the collapse but rescue operators such as LASEMA Lagos State Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Red Cross and policemen, are working hard to rescue victims.
